Close lid of waffle iron and cook according the waffler instructions. In a medium bowl, beat egg yolks with the sugar and salt. Blend in the milk, lemon juice, lemon peel, and butter, beating well. Add the flour and baking powder.

  1. Combine flour, cornmeal,sugar,baking soda & salt in a large mixing bowl. whisk to combine. add eggs,oil,buttermilk,lemon juice & vanilla extract. whisk until blended. stir in lemon zest. let batter rest for 5 minutes before using

Preheat a waffle maker. spray oil on the surface of waffle maker. pour 1-2 tbsp of batter & spread out evenly. close the lid ofthe waffle maker. after 3-4 minutes open the lid. carefully remove the baked waffle in a serving plate. repeat with remaining batter. (u can also store the batter in refrigerator for 2-3 days)
  3. If u dnt have waffle maker u can prepare pancakes from this batter.
