- Dalchini, lavanga,jeera,black pepper,and coconut all fry in oil then mixed well.
- Cook rice and drain it. Prick with fork and let cool. Meanwhile make a paste out of all the grinding.
- Heat oil/clarified butter. Add Mustard seeds and let it crackle. Stir in the curry leaves, if using and broken cashews fry until golden.
- Put onion and little salt. Cook until transparent. Stir in chopped tomato. Saute for a few minutes and add the ground spices and continue to cook until the initial raw smell goes off.
- Add in the chopped vegetable and saute it. sprinkle water if the paste sticks to the bottom of the pan. Lid up and cook until the vegetables are cooked through.
- Add salt and sugar taste. Add in the clocked Rice and mix well make sure not to break the rice cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes.
