  4. Make ready 1 medium sized onion finally chopped
  5. Get 2-3 tbsp fried brown onion for garnishing
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup curd
  7. Prepare 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  8. Get 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  9. Take 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  10. Prepare 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  11. Make ready 1/2 tbsp biryani masala powder
  12. Get to taste Salt
  13. Get 2 tbsp oil
  14. Take For veg raita-
  15. Get 1 1/2 cup curd
  16. Take 1/2 cup chopped mix vegetable (onion, tomato, and cucumber)

  18. Make ready 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder

  1. Firstly to marinate your chickpeas for 30 min with curd, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and garam masala.
  2. Now soak rice in three cups of water for about half an hour. Drain. Boil four cups of water and add rice and cook till half done. Drain excess water.
  3. Now take a handi add 2 tbsp oil and add onion and saute till transparent and then add tomato and ginger garlic paste and saute well, cook for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. And salt, garam masala powder, biryani powder cover lid and cook 2-3 min more until oil separated.
  5. Now add marinated chickpeas mix and add 1 cup water mix well and cook 5-6 mins on medium flame.
  6. Spread cooked rice over the chickpeas evenly. Sprinkle fried brown onion on rice.
  7. Cover the lid of haddi tightly and put on low heat for fifteen minutes or till rice is cooked.
  8. For veg raita–
  9. Now take one bowl add beated smooth curd, chopped mix vegetable, salt, red chilli powder, and cumin powder and mix it well.
  10. Serve hot and flavourful chole (chickpeas) biryani with mix veg raita and enjoy.
