The ingredients needed to make Homemade Biryani:
  1. Prepare 1 cup Basmati Rice
  2. Get 300 GMS Chicken
  3. Make ready 2 cups Curd
  4. Prepare 6/7 Green Chilli
  5. Make ready 3 Small Onion
  6. Prepare 3 Small tomatoes
  7. Make ready 2 Small English Cucumbers
  8. Take as required Mint leaves pudina
  9. Take as per required Coriander leaves
  10. Take 1 tbsp Ginger and garlic paste homemade
  11. Prepare 1 pc Lemon
  12. Get as per need Whole spices - bay leaves, cloves, cardamon, cinammon etc
  13. Prepare 2 tbspn Oil
  14. Prepare 2 tbspn Ghee
  15. Get As needed Chicken Masala and Garam Masala
Steps to make Homemade Biryani:
  1. Marinate chicken with Salt lemon and ginger garlic paste and set aside for 15 mins

  3. Now cut onion tomatoes and green chillis
  4. Add 2 tbsp of mustard oil and splatter all whole spices
  5. Add onions and green chill and fry till brown
  6. Now take a cup of rice and soak it for some 10 mins
  7. Now once the onions are brown add chicken and fry them for some time
  8. Now after 3/4 mins of cooking add spices - chicken masala some garam masala, salt to taste and Turmeric
  9. Cook for another 5/10 mins and all a bit of chill and tomato
  10. Now in the cutting board chop a chunk of mint leaves, coriander leaves abd chilli
  11. Add little bit of this mixture and add and cook
  12. Once the chicken seems to cook well, add half cup curd to the chicken
  13. Now make the gravy consistent and add little water like quarter cup
  14. Now layer the rice at top of the gravy and do not mix the rice. Make sure very less water is added as it had already soaked water ! For a cup of rice I added just a quarter cup of rice.
  15. Add the coriander and mint leaves from up and 2 tbspn of ghee from top
  16. Now put the pressure lid and put in lowest flame possible for 30 mins
  17. Now after 30 mins let it rest for around 10 mins before you open
  18. Now make Raitha with small pieces cut cucumber, onion and chillis and mixed with curd
  19. Now serve the Biryani hot with raita
