- Wash rice and soak in water for 1/2 hr
- Than boil rice in water with 1 tbsp of salt. When rice cooked but a little hard than drain all the water and keep a side

- In the mean time chopped onions and add into oil and sautay till pink to light brown
- Now add all dry spices red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, whole spices qasoori meethi and salt. Mix well for 1 minute
- Now add chopped tomatoes and mix. Cook till they become soft
- Add green chillies
- Cook till oil seperated from masala
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook again
- Add yoghurt and cook till oil seperated again from masala
- Add potatoes and keep on low flame after covering the lid. Cook till potatoes become tender
- Add lemon juice, mix and keep masala a side. Turn off heat
- Now layer boil rice first in a big vessel
- Than add potato mixture
- Than add rest of rice on potato mixtute
- Add yellow food color and fried onions on top.
- Cover the lid and keep on simmer for 15 minutes. (Drizzle water if needed for keeping rice on dum) Biryani is ready to serve. Mix and take out in serving dish and enjoy with your family with raita or salad
